Observation

Agreeing to be non-judgmental with your friend is so much easier when you agree with everything she believes in anyway.

Kid at heart

Why did I feel the need to report to my parents the exact grades I got in each class of my first term?    I’m 43 years old.

He’s so….. dreamy

The other night I had a dream that I was making out with Joe Jonas.  (Being a good mother, I did not make out with Nick Jonas, the younger one that my daughter is fond of.)  He told me his favorite book was the Bible and I thought “Oh, this isn’t going to work.”

Back to school edition

The school year has started for all of us.  Lucy loves 4th grade so much, she keeps asking to go to bed earlier and earlier every night.  GMan, after putting up his front of hating school, seems to be settled in and not at all miserable.  That’s huge, for him.

I started my second term at Law School.  Civil Procedure is like pulling teeth, but the prof does his damndest to make it as interesting as possible.  For Contracts II I have my first woman professor, which is a nice change of pace.  She’s smart, she has high expectations, and it shows.   Tomorrow will be my first Torts II class, and all I’ve heard about the prof is he has a nice ass.  Great.  Maybe I’ll sit in the front row.

We’re settling into a decent routine.   The freezer is well stocked, even though the bank account isn’t.  We eat dinner together, and Gman comes home for lunch, too.  DTE is on the very last stages of finishing his garage/shop and the improvement in his mood is tremendous.  Finally.  FINALLY.  He can start moving forward.

I’ve been corresponding with one of my favorite friends from 7th grade.  What a trip!  She is a very cool person now, and I like her even more than I did then.  Even though we no longer have matching Love’s Baby Soft tshirts.   We’ve come a long way.
